Smuggler's Retreat is a fabulous bolt-hole located below York House on King Street and is just 100 metres from the beach and less than 10 seconds from the sea wall with its magnificent views across the bay. Having undergone a full refurbishment (2021), it has been transformed into a practical and stylish little place, perfect for couples or two friends.

Entrance
Smuggler's Retreat is located towards the top of King Street and access is down 7 stone steps to the entrance door. There is one small step down from the door into the lounge area.......
The Lounge Area
The front door leads directly into the surprisingly spacious lounge area which is fully carpeted and comprises a double bed with side tables and lamps and a very useful 6-drawer sideboard. To one side is a large cupboard for storage and a separate wardrobe section with ample hanging space for clothes. Entertainment is provided by a wall-mounted Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix.
The Kitchen
The well-planned and newly-fitted kitchen is towards the back of the apartment and comprises a range of units with a 2-ring ceramic hob, full-size electric fan oven, integrated fridge with freezer compartment, stainless steel sink and mixer tap, microwave, 2-slice toaster and a kettle. The cupboards are stocked with a full complement of cutlery, crockery and cookware.
The Wet Room
Between the lounge and the kitchen is the wet room which has a tiled floor and marine-boarded walls. There is an electric shower, washbasin, WC and extractor fan.
General
Smuggler's Retreat is equally equipped for a short break or a longer stay and is suitable for couples, friends or a parent and child.
It can be booked on its own or in conjunction with York House above (to sleep a maximum of 8 people).
Please be aware that the maximum head height in the whole of Smuggler's Retreat is 6'1".
