We are pleased to offer this quaint cottage set in a very quiet location off the beaten track on Littlewood Terrace, only 150 yards from the beach. Woodside has a wealth of coastal features and benefits enormously from a small lawned garden which captures the sunshine throughout the day. There are lovely views from both bedrooms over the rooftops to the sea and the Ravenscar headland.

The accommodation comprises:

Ground Floor

Entry to Woodside is directly from the end of Littlewood Terrace and into a small porch with an inner stable-door to allow the outside in on warm days. In line with most cottages in lower Bay, the ground floor is a space for cooking, dining and relaxing. Fully refurbished in late 2019, the kitchen area comprises an electric oven and 4-ring electric hob, washing machine, under-counter fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a dining table with seating for 4 people and a comfortable sofa with extra seating available. In addition to central heating, there is a log-burning stove to further enhance those cosy winter nights in front of the TV.

First Floor

Stairs lead up from the ground floor to a small landing and a door into the main bedroom which has a white metal-frame double bed with a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables. The two windows in this room make it beautifully light and afford lovely open views over the pantiled rooftops of the lower village and towards Ravenscar.Also on this floor is the shower room with painted wood floor and comprising a shower cubicle, large wash basin and WC. There is a heated towel rail and a window to the side elevation

Second Floor

A further staircase takes you up to the delightful attic bedroom with 2 white-wood single beds, a central bedside table and lamp and a chest of drawers. Although there is limited headroom in parts of this room, it is nevertheless a good-sized room and, being at the top of the house, has even better views!

Outside

To the side of the cottage, there is a small sheltered lawned garden which is private and for the exclusive use of guests to Woodside. The garden faces south and captures the sun in the morning and early afternoon

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodside. It is a delightful cottage and really nicely decorated, so made our visit to Robin Hood’s Bay very enjoyable.
