Vale View is a spacious 3-storey home sleeping 6 people plus 1 infant in the pretty village of Fylingthorpe. The interiors are elegant with quality furnishings and fittings and more than a few touches to celebrate its coastal location. This comfortable house boasts 3 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dining kitchen, a fabulously well-stocked utility room, a separate dining room and a comfortable lounge. There is a multitude of thoughtful extras in the house to make your stay even easier and, being just a 10-minute walk from the ever-popular Robin Hood's Bay, Vale View will appeal to everyone. To say that this house is equally geared up for a memorable family holiday or a getaway with friends is something of an understatement.

Access and Entrance

Vale View is located close to the crossroads in the middle of Fylingthorpe village. There is vehicular access right up the door via an open-ended slip road and you can park there if there is space and if you're not blocking anyone else's access. From the slip-road, the route round to the side entrance door is flat.

Ground Floor

The side entrance door takes you directly into the well-stocked utility room which has a washing machine, dryer, additional fridge, sink, clothes airers and other laundry sundries as well as sufficient space to take off boots and coats.
A further door takes you into the large dining kitchen which has a good range of units, cupboards and drawers and comprises a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and coffee machine (with complementary coffee pods) and a small 4-seater kitchen table.
The kitchen leads out on to a short corridor off which are the dining room and the lounge.
The lounge is a lovely, relaxing space with a cosy feel. There are big comfortable sofas on which to while away the evenings and a wood-burner-style  gas stove in the fireplace to cosy up in front of. If entertainment is your thing, then switch on the Smart TV with Netflix or listen to your favourite music through the Sony Bluetooth speaker.
The separate dining room is the perfect place for family meals or as a more formal setting for a meal with friends. It has a large oak dining table and 6 chairs.
A steep staircase takes you up to the first floor.......

First Floor

The master bedroom looks out over the front elevation towards Robin Hood's Bay and Ravenscar. It has a king size white metal frame bed with an upholstered seat at the foot of it. There are 2 bedside tables and wall recesses, a small chest of drawers with a mirror above and decorative hanging rail with space for shoes. The en suite bathroom is separated from the bedroom by 2 glass sliding doors and comprises a free-standing bath tub, WC, wash basin with mirror above, a small vanity storage unit and a heated towel rail.
The second bedroom on this floor is a good-sized twin room with full-width single beds, 2 bedside tables, a wooden captain's chair and a large wardrobe.
Also on this floor is the family bathroom which comprises a large walk-in shower , WC and wash basin with mirror over.
A further staircase takes you up to the second floor......

Second Floor

This floor is home to the 3rd bedroom but don't be disappointed by having to climb 2 staircases to get to it. This delightful room is spacious and has the best views. It comprises a lovely double oak frame bed with oak bedside tables, matching chest of drawers, wardrobe and a feature (though non-working) fireplace. For leisurely mornings, there is a gorgeous and very useful leather sofa here too.

Outside

At the front of the property there is a very small area with a bench for enjoying a morning coffee and watching the village wake up.

General

Vale View has a really lovely feel about it and manages to somehow combine light & airy and cosy comfort at the same time. More than anything else, this property has every 'added extra' that you can think of which makes it a prime choice for a family holiday or a welcome break with friends. Fylingthorpe village has a well-stocked corner shop just 20 yards away and The Fylingdales Inn (which serves food and has its own children's play park) is right on the doorstep. Barnard's Butchers is just 100 yards away and as well as having a good range of meat products, it also does evening take-away pizzas if ordered before 4pm.
If you want to be close to Robin Hood's Bay but need more space and more convenient parking than the old village can provide, then this is the one for you. As well as being only a scenic 10 minute walk from Robin Hood's Bay, the property is actually on the White - Scarborough bus route - the bus stop being just a matter of yards away.
