Brudenell is a charming 2-bedroomed Fisherman’s Cottage located on Chapel Street in the heart of Robin Hood’s Bay, just 200 metres from the beach.  Brudenell has pretty views over the pantiled rooftops of the village and boasts a sun-trap patio looking down New Road towards the Dock – the ideal place for a glass of wine after a long day on the beach!

During peak times whole-week booking for this property are Saturday to Saturday.


Access to Brudenell is directly from Chapel Street with just a shallow doorstep into the sitting room. The cottage has 3 floors with the living accommodation on the ground floor, the double bedroom and bathroom on the middle floor and on the top floor there is another bedroom with a double bed with full size single bunk bed over it. As with all properties in lower RHBay, the stairs are a little steeper than in modern buildings but both staircases are enclosed and each has banisters and a door at the bottom.

Ground Floor

The front door opens directly into the sitting room with a laminated oak floor, sofa, 2 accent chairs, fold-out dining table and chairs and a flat-screen Smart television.  The attractive fireplace with brick surround and oak mantel houses a multi-fuel stove.To the back of the property is a separate kitchen which comprises of an electric 4-ring induction hob and fan oven, dishwasher,  microwave, toaster, kettle and integrated fridge.  The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, glassware and cookware.From the back of the sitting room, a door leads up an enclosed staircase to the first floor.......

First Floor

There is a small landing on the first floor. A sliding door leads to the master bedroom which has a handmade oak framed double bed and looks out over pan tiled roofs down New Road. There is a built in chest of drawers with hanging space above and touch bedside lamps.The bathroom is also on the first floor and comprises a bath with the choice of a hand held shower or electric Mira shower over, a WC and a wash basin with vanity unit. Above the wash basin is an LED mirror with Bluetooth connection for listening to music.From the first floor landing, a further set of stairs leads up to the top floor.

Second Floor

The delightful attic bedroom is light and airy, having a window to the side elevation as well as to the front. There is a handmade oak framed double bed with a single bunk bed over the top, built in chest of drawers and shelving at either side of the bed with bedside lamps. There is a useful stairgate at the top of the stairs and the dormer window boasts super views over Fisherhead and towards the Dock.

Outside

Brudenell benefits from a sun-trap patio area with a bistro table & 4 chairs. The patio captures the morning and mid-day sun so is perfect for an al fresco breakfast or lunch. It affords lovely views over the beck and down New Road towards the Dock.  Please note that the patio entrance is shared with the next door cottage and Brudenell’s patio is on the right hand side. We politely request that dogs are confined to Brudenell's side at all times.

  • Fantastic stay at brudenell for Christmas. Cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The whole week was thoroughly enjoyable and made Christmas extra special. We will have no hesitation to book again with RHB holiday cottages
